Scór Sinsir

The Scór Sinsir Leinster semi-final was held in Birr on Sunday 7th April.

Representing Ballycomoyle Ladies on the day was Cliodhna Daly in the Amhránaíocht Aonair/Solo singing competition. Cliodhna sang beautifully and was given the nod from the adjudicators. She now progresses to the Leinster Final.

She was joined by Naomi Fitzpatrick, Aoibhínn Dolan and Zara & Roan Geraghty in the Bailéad Ghrúpa/Ballad Group competition. They gave a lovely performance of their two songs. The standard was very high in this competition and when the results were announced it was the groups from Longford and Offaly who qualified for the Leinster final. Hard luck to the group who can be very proud of their performance.

In the Nuachleas/Novelty Act Ballycomoyle was represented by Helen Coyle, Lorna McCormack, Lorraine Ledwith, Alison Keogh, Aidan Keogh, Willie Hilliard, Piaras Walsh and Sean Daly. They gave a great performance of their act which was good enough to earn them a place in the Leinster final.

The Leinster Final will be held on Sunday April 21st in The Downs at 3pm.
