A controversial last-minute penalty goal cost our second team a share of the spoils against Killucan at St James’ Park on the May Bank Holiday Monday.

Goals from James Finnegan and Finbar Coffey had it level pegging before the visitors snatched a 2-11 to 2-8 victory at the death.

Darkness into Light

A huge thank you to everyone who turned out last Saturday morning for our Darkness into Light walk.

We were delighted that so many people came to support such a great cause. Thank you to KPDA for allowing us to use St James' Hall and to James and Danny for all your help. Special thanks to our sponsor, Mick and Shirley from Londis, for supplying teas, coffees and refreshments.

Thanks to Hugh, Margaret and Hughie from Murrays Butchers for all the minerals and refreshments and to Pat and Clare from McNamaras Bar & Lounge for the lights around the walk and decorations in the Hall.

A total of €1,231.40 was raised for Pieta House who will be presented with a cheque in the coming days.

Happy retirement

We would like to wish Mickey and Breda Marshall a happy retirement after running Paddy Ryan's Pub in Horseleap for the past 20 years. We held our lotto draw there many times over the years and they were always very accommodating and great supporters of our club.

Lotto

Last week’s lucky numbers were 1, 8, 19 and 28. There was one draw winner – Ailish Sweeney. Thanks to everyone for their support. The jackpot is capped at €15,000. You can purchase your tickets in local shops or online.
