Mike Boland has been appointed interim manager of the Waterford senior camogie team.

The outgoing coach and selector steps up to fill the void left by fellow Cork man Jerry Wallace, who stepped down after a difficult Very League campaign. The 2023 All-Ireland runners-up only retained their Division 1 status by virtue of a last-gasp victory over Tipperary earlier this month. Wallace had been in charge for a season-and-a-half.

Boland, who led Courcey Rovers to their maiden Cork senior camogie title in 2020, will take charge of the Deise for the first time against either Tipp of Limerick in the Munster senior championship semi-final next weekend.
