Jason Forde returns from injury for Tipperary’s All-Ireland SHC preliminary quarter-final against Offaly in Tullamore this afternoon.

The Silvermines clubman is named at centre forward after recovering from the hamstring injury he sustained against Cork in Round 2 of the Munster SHC. Craig Morgan also returns from a long-term injury to start at corner back, as does Jack Morris in attack. Manager Liam Cahill has also made a number of positional changes in the wake of Tipp’s tame Munster SHC exit at the hands of Waterford.

Offaly, meanwhile, introduce Eimhin Kelly and Paddy Clancy in place of the suspended Dara Maher and hand injury victim David Nally. Kelly and Clancy both impressed off the bench in the Faithful County’s Joe McDonagh Cup final extra-time defeat to Carlow at Croke Park three weeks ago.
