
Cork camogie defender Laura Treacy has called time on her inter-county career after 14 years with the Rebels.
The 30-year-old won six All-Ireland and four All-Star awards throughout a glittering career.
Having played in 11 All-Ireland finals the Killeagh native won her first O’Duffy Cup at 18-years-old in 2014 and won her last 10 years later when the Leesiders defeated Galway at Croke Park.
The Gaelic Players Association (GPA) paid tribute to Treacy with the following post on social media:
"She did it all! Congratulations to Laura Treacy on an amazing career with Cork camogie. 14 years outstanding service, 6 All-Irelands, 4 All-Stars among the many accolades for Laura’s performance on the field.
"This was only surpassed by Laura’s leadership, reliability and advocacy on behalf of her fellow players. A brilliant team rep and a leading voice in championing improved standards in recent years.
"Laura has left a lasting impact on the game and all her teammates. THANK YOU for everything Laura & best wishes for all that comes next!"
