Next month’s Leinster Club SFC and SHC final double-header at Croke Park is in doubt due to Naas’ continued involvement in both competitions.
The double-header is fixed for Saturday evening, December 2, but Leinster Council have indicated that the football final between Naas and Kilmacud Crokes will be deferred by a week if the Naas hurlers beat Na Fianna in their Leinster semi-final on Saturday.
The double Kildare champions have three dual players – Brian Byrne, James Burke and Daire Guerin – and would almost certainly seek a postponement of one of the finals if they were involved in both.
The Naas hurlers’ semi-final against Na Fianna has been moved to MW Hire O’Moore Park amid capacity concerns at Hawkfield.
