Diarmuid Byrnes reckons Limerick have got their mojo back after they edged out Cork to remain on course for a fifth consecutive Munster SHC title.

The Treaty County’s 3-25 to 1-30 victory in front of over 40,000 spectators at the TUS Gaelic Grounds, coupled with Tipperary’s surprise loss to Waterford, means they will face Clare in the provincial decider on June 11.

"It was only four or five days ago we were dead and buried after a phenomenal couple of years that we have had," Byrnes told RTÉ after his man of the match performance.

"We’re happy to come out on top. It was a great performance, the lads are back on form. Hego (Gearoid Hegarty) last week, probably the worst player on the field, today absolutely outstanding.

"Now we march on."

The Patrickswell clubman also insisted that the All-Ireland champions took little notice of recent rumours surrounding them.

"Outside noise, Caroline (Currid, sports psychologist) has us well driven. We’re far too experienced for that as a group. We don’t let any of that into our own circle," he continued.

"The pundits have to come up with something to write about, and unfortunately it’s us.”
