Fergal Reel will continue as Louth U20 football manager in 2026 after delivering a first Leinster U20 / 21 title to the Wee County since 1981 this year.
It will be the Silverbridge man’s third year at the helm, having led Louth to a Leinster final against Meath in his first before turning the tables on the Royals in this season’s decider. Louth subsequently defeated Mayo in the All-Ireland semi-final before coming up short against Tyrone in the final.
Reel’s reappointment was ratified at Monday night’s county board meeting in Darver where it was also announced that the Louth SFC final will be played at the Integral GAA Grounds on Sunday, October 26. It will be the first time the blue riband final is staged in Drogheda since 2019.
The IFC final, meanwhile, will be played in DEFY Páirc Mhuire, Ardee on Sunday week, October 19.
