Karl Lacey has been named as the new Donegal minor football manager.
The 2012 Footballer of the Year and All-Ireland SFC winning centre back replaces Barry Ward, who was in charge for the last two seasons. Lacey was appointed as County Performance Lead to Donegal’s Academy shortly after stepping down as manager of Down kingpins Kilcoo earlier this year, and also managed the county's U16 team.
Meanwhile, Donegal GAA has also announced the reappointments of Jim McGuinness and Mickey McCann as senior football and hurling managers respectively. McGuinness is entering his third season in what is his second spell as football boss.
Gary Boyle will lead the U20 footballers in 2026, Adie Gaffey will manage the U20 hurlers, while Lorcan O'Toole takes the minor hurling reins.
