Aodh Ruadh have appointed the vastly-experienced Jimmy Langan as their new senior football manager.
Langan takes charge of the Ballyshannon outfit after stepping down as manager of his home club St Molaise Gaels after nine years at the helm. He led the Grange men to back-to-back Sligo SFC final appearances, only to come up short against recently-crowned Connacht SFC champions Coolera-Strandhill on both occasions.
Aodh Ruadh are hoping Langan can oversee an improvement in their fortunes after they survived a SFC relegation playoff against Cloughaneely this year.
Langan said in a statement posted on Aodh Ruadh’s Facebook page: "I'm delighted to be taking up the manager's role with Aodh Ruadh CLG. It's a club that I have always admired and I am looking forward to working with the players, coaches, club committee and members."
Aodh Ruadh chairman Barry O'Neill added: "We are delighted to be securing a great senior football team manager in Jimmy Langan and he brings a wealth of experience to the position. Everybody at Aodh Ruadh, Ballyshannon will join me in extending Jimmy a warm welcome to our club."
