Na Fianna captain Aideen Slattery raises the Leinster Ladies IFC cup at Carlow

A Meath club with a large crossover of dual players is preparing to play two All-Ireland semi-finals 300km apart on successive afternoons this weekend.

Following their Leinster intermediate double, Na Fianna will play an All-Ireland camogie semi-final against Eglish of Tyrone in Darver, Co. Louth on Saturday at 3pm before making the long journey south to Mallow to face Glanmire in their All-Ireland ladies football semi-final the following day at 2pm.

After efforts to have one of the semi-finals rescheduled failed, the Enfield-based club and members of the local community have launched a fundraising drive to ensure their ladies football team can stay in the north Cork area on Saturday night and avoid a long trip on Sunday morning.
