Former Galway manager Micheál Donoghue has led the tributes to retiring Tribe star Aidan Harte.
The 33-year-old revealed his retirement from the inter-county game in a statement yesterday, saying it was "an honour and privilege" to represent his county for 13 seasons.
And Donoghue, who guided Galway to the All-Ireland SHC title in 2017, with Harte playing a pivotal role at wing-back, acknowledged the Gort man's stellar contribution, tweeting: '"You get out what you put in" epitomised Aidan Harte every time he wore the Galway jersey. Congrats on a great career Harty…Mind the body now.'

Another great warrior hung up the boots today. Best wishes to Aidan Harte, one of the most understated but important players from 2017 team. Giant of a man, an even bigger heart, and a gent off the field. Good luck with the next chapter Aidan 🙌
