Holders through to Armagh SFC quarter-finals

Maghery opened their Armagh SFC defence with a 1-8 to 0-9 victory over Armagh Harps at the Athletic Grounds on Saturday night.

Brian Fox's 43rd minute goal proved decisive as Finnian Moriarty's men earned a quarter-final date with Clann Eireann, who cruised to a 3-17 to 0-14 first round victory over Grange.

The other quarter-final pairings are: Pearse Og v Ballymacnab, Killeavy v Crossmaglen Rangers and Silverbridge v St Pat's.

Pearse Og were 4-13 to 3-10 first round winners over St Peter's, Ballymacnab edged out Granemore by 1-12 to 0-14, Silverbridge beat Dromintee 2-10 to 1-12 after extra-time, Killeavy defeated Annaghmore 1-14 to 0-8, Crossmaglen overcame Madden by 2-15 to 1-10, while St Pat's squeezed past Mullaghbawn on a 0-9 to 0-8 scoreline.
