David Power is staying on as Tipperary senior football manager after being given a fresh three-year term.

This means the Kilsheelan-Kilcash clubman will remain in the Premier County hotseat until the end of 2024 at least.

Power has been in charge of Tipp for two seasons, leading them to a first Munster SFC title in 85 years in 2020 but they surrendered their provincial title when they suffered an 11-point defeat to Kerry in the semi-final three months ago.

Tipperary will be plying their trade in Division 4 of the Allianz League next year following a relegation play-off loss to Longford.

Power will once again be assisted by selectors/coaches Paddy Christie, Declan Browne and Charlie McGeever.

Former Dublin footballer Christie is set to continue to combine his coaching role with managing the Tipp U20 footballers.
