Former Laois hurling manager Eddie Brennan has taken up a coaching role with Dublin giants Cuala for the 2021 season.
The eight-time All-Ireland winner stepped down as Laois boss 10 days ago after two years at the helm, having lost out to Dublin in the Leinster championship before running Brian Lohan’s Clare side within a point in the qualifiers.
Former Dublin player John Twomey will manage the Dalkey side next season, with Brennan set to coach, as they look to retain their Dublin senior hurling crown.
The Dublin champions won back-to-back All-Ireland titles in 2016 and 2017 but, due to the condensed club season, they did not get the opportunity to bid for the O'Neill Cup this winter.
TweetCuala senior hurlers are delighted to announce the appointment of John Twomey as team manager and Eddie Brennan as team coach. John Twomey has had a long career with the Dublin hurlers. Eddie Brennan is recognised as one of the all-time great forwards to play the game.
