A late Liam Gallagher two-pointer saw London snatching both points at Semple Stadium this evening as they handed Tipperary a shock 2-13 to 0-17 defeat.
The hosts came into this one looking to go top of the Allianz Football League Division 4 table and, despite shipping Ciaran Diver and Shay Rafter goals in the first-half, they looked on course to do so as they held a 0-17 to 2-10 lead late on.
However, the Exiles found an equaliser through Thomas Lenihan that looked to snatch them a share of the spoils before Gallagher sent over their next score in the dying stages from just outside the two-point arc.
The result marks London’s second win of the league after having shocked Oisin McConville’s Wicklow on opening weekend, while it’s Tipp’s first loss of the campaign after winning two and drawing one in the first three rounds.
Elsewhere in Division 4, an early second-half goal from James Naughton helped Limerick past Carlow (1-17 to 0-13) to come away with the points at Netwatch Cullen Park and book their second win.
