Tipperary hurling manager Liam Cahill has successfully appealed his four-week suspension after last night’s Central Hearings Committee (CHC).

Cahill received a red card from referee Sea Stack towards the end of last weekend’s thrilling Munster SHC clash between Tipp and Limerick which finished all square in Thurles.

A statement from the CHC confirmed that Cahill had been charged with "abusive language towards a linesman".

Last night’s meeting in Dublin found that Cahill's infraction was "not proven” and therefore no penalty was imposed on the Premier County boss.

It means that Cahill will now be on the sidelines for Tipp’s meeting with Waterford this Sunday at Semple Stadium (4pm), where his side will be looking to book a place alongside Clare in next month’s Munster final.
