Former Sligo footballer Luke Bree has joined the new Offaly senior football management team.
Following on from last Monday’s shock announcement that Mickey Harte will be partnering with Declan Kelly as joint-manager, Bree has been appointed as head football coach. Bree, who is a PE teacher in Summerhill College and continues to play club football with Coolera/Strandhill, joins the Faithful County from Leitrim where he served as a selector / coach under Andy Moran for the past two years.
“The former Sligo player has recently completed a two-year term as coach and selector with the Leitrim senior footballers where they secured promotion to Division 3,” Offaly GAA said in a statement.
“He was also part of the Roscommon senior football management team in 2022 where they achieved promotion to Division 1. Previously, he was head coach of the St. Vincent's senior footballers in Dublin. He was involved with the club for 10 years, including as a player on their All-Ireland winning team in 2014.
“We are delighted to welcome Luke to the Faithful County.”
