Padraig Pearses are through to the Roscommon senior football championship final after handing St Faithleach’s a comprehensive 1-9 to 0-3 defeat at Dr Hyde Park this afternoon.
The 2021 champions hit three unaswered points in the opening four minutes before going on to take in a 0-6 to 0-1 lead at the half.
Darren Nerney landed an early second-half point for St Faithleach’s but it’d be erased by Paul Carey before Declan Kenny smashed in the game’s only goal for Pearses midway through the first-half.
Frank Canning’s charges wouldn’t look back from there as they went to win by nine points, setting up a Fahey Cup decider date with either Michael Glaveys or Roscommon Gaels in two weeks’ time.
