Very League Division 2A Preview - Armagh v Offaly

March 28, 2025

Offaly's Grace Teehan will be hoping to add to her tally of scores in this year's League when she faces Armagh on Saturday

Having beaten Carlow last time out and confirmed their place in this year's Division 2A Final, Offaly travel to Armagh on Saturday free from pressure.

Armagh on the other hand, are without a positive result in the campaign to date and they will feel a sense of opportunism for this fixture.  David Sullivan has shown throughout the campaign that he is not afraid to use his panel and give his players game time and the hosts will be hoping they can use that to their advantage and get a result on Saturday.

From Offaly's point of view, winning is a habit and they will be keen to keep their winning streak going and wrap up the group fixtures with a 100% record and that in itself presents the Offaly management with a conundrum.  They will want their team to keep that winning habit but at the same time want to shield their players from potential injury so it will be interesting to see how they line out on Saturday.

With Saturday's game throwing in at the later than usual time of 4.30 pm, Offaly will take to the field knowing who they will face in the League Final. In Lixnaw, Kerry and Derry face off with both teams only blemish in this year's League being their defeat to Offaly.  The victors reward will be a shot at silverware in Semple Stadium against the Faithful County on 13 April.
