Very League Division 2A
Offaly secured their place in this year's Division 2A Final on Saturday when they overcame Carlow in Banagher. A Grace Teehan hat trick of goals helped Offaly on their way as the Midlanders brushed aside the Carlow challenge with the final score reading 3-10 to 1-5.
The team will travel north on Saturday where they will play Armagh in their final game in the group.
Under 16A All Ireland Shield
The Offaly Under 16 team travelled to Ballymena in Antrim last Sunday for their fourth round match of the Eir Under 16A Shield Championship.
Playing with the wind in the first half the Offaly girls scored two fine points from play in the opening five minutes but Antrim responded with a goal. The remainder of the first half was a close affair, with both teams trading points before Antrim pulled away in the last five minutes leading 1-7 to 0-5 at half time.
Despite playing against the wind in the second half the Faithful girls came out fighting and quickly hit two points to bring them within three points of the home team. Both teams traded points, producing some great displays of skill in a high quality encounter, however Offaly were unable to find the goal that they so desperately needed and Antrim held on to take the win with the final score reading Antrim 1-11 Offaly 0-9
