Seniors: The Senior team play Corduff in Round 3 of the Intermediate League this Friday night in Aughnamullen at 8pm. Best Wishes to team and management

 

Reserves: Following the tragic death of Brendan Og O Dufaigh the Reserve League Semi Final against Killanny was postponed it will be now played this Sunday at 1pm in Aughnamullen. Best wishes to team and management.

 

Under 19: The U19 played Cremartin away on Wednesday night(last night) check social media for details. Next Wednesday night they play at home to Killanny at 8pm. Best wishes to team and management.

 

Under 17: The Under 17 play 3 games in the next 10 days or so. On Sunday morning next they play at home to Latton at 11.30am. Next Thursday night they play to Emyvale at 7.30pm whilst on Sunday 1st August they play Truagh at home at 11.30am. Best wishes to team and management

 

Under 15: The U15 Division 3 side have no game this week as Oram have conceded their game. The Division 5 side played Truagh on Friday night last and came away with a great victory. In the first half the sides were even enough and at half time Truagh led by 6 however a superb second half by Aughnamullen proved fruithful and they ran out winners. They also played at home to Emyvale on Wednesday night(last night) check social media for details.

 

Under 13: The U13 games against Castleblayney were cancelled last Saturday this will now be played next Tuesday night the 27th of July at 6.30pm and 7.45pm. Best wishes to team and management

 

Under 11: The U11 teams play at home to Latton this Saturday commencing at 11.30am. Best wishes to team and management

 

Under 9: The U9 panel played in a blitz on Saturday last in Aughnamullen involving Clontibret, Killanny and themselves and gave a great account of themselves. Many thanks to the coaches who made sure everything went according to plan.

 

Under 7: Our U7 panel are playing in a home blitz this Saturday involving Cremartin, Castleblayney, Magheracloone and themselves. Best wishes to team and management and please support the young lads. It will take place from 9.30am - 11am.

 

Ladies Football: The Ladies teams played a number of games recently and results were as follows

 

U14 Girls Div 1 Aughnamullen 8-14 Tyholland 4-3

U14 Girls Div 3 Eire Og 3-8 Aughnamullen 2-18

Charity Vintage Run: On this Sunday 25th July Sillan Vintage Club are hosting a charity vintage run in aid of Grace Hamilton daughter of Stephen & Carolyn Hamilton. Run takes place from Killaan Football Field to Ballybay from 3pm with registration from 2pm. Please support if you can.

 

Sympathy: On Saturday morning last news filtered around the county about the tragic death of our County U20 Captain Brendan Og O Dufaigh. Ogie as he was affectionely known was a very talented footballer and sincerest sympathy is extended to his parents Brendain and Esther his sisters Claire & Aine. Also to his County U20 Team mates and management and his club Monaghan Harps. May god have mercy on his soul.

Also sympathy is extended to Tom & Mary Larkin & Family Tossey on the death of Marys brother in law Michael Mc Cabe Lisacullion Shantonagh who died recently. May God have mercy on his soul.

 

County Team Affairs: Congratulations is extended to Joel Wilson and the County U20 team who had a great victory over Donegal on Friday last. Coming from 5 points down at half time they produced a storming second half display to emerge victorious by 3-10 to 1-11. They now play Down in the final on the 30th of July in Armagh at 7.30pm

Also well done to Michael Bannigan and the County Senior team who had a great win over Armagh on Saturday last and came away with a brilliant 2 point victory. This sets them up for a Ulster Final against Tyrone on Saturday 31st July at 4pm in Croke Park
