Banty may deserve one but it matters little as not many will remember nominations if you don't get one anyway. Hopefully he is on the mend from his latest injury and he possibly gets game time next werkend. Banty sole focus over the winter should be injury prevention work with an eye on being in prime condition for championship next year. Should be the case for a few others. Great to see Keoghan and Menton going so strong in club championship. Hopefully they commit for next year. Jones hasn't featured. He may be better focused on proving his fitness with club before returning to county. Other middle third options now with Charlie O'Connor, McIvor and even Charlie Gallagher showing well.

Summerhill vs Cillies
One to boost the weekend Acca's!!! You'd almost feel bad for the seasiders here. They're effectively a fat lamb heading for the slaughterhouse. They might not know it yet, but it's going to be the end for them. Not sure if Conlon will be able to play, but even if he does, I suspect one of the Ryans to maul him.

Rathkenny vs Wolfe Tones
Rathkenny are a good side with a lot of solid players. The three O'Hares are good players and add a bit of North Meath bitterness to this team. If Curtis gets firing, they could give this a rattle.
I fear Wolfe Tones might be just a bit big around the middle. Let's just say there's definitely no calorie deficit up in Kilberry.
Tones will 100% not win the championship (before people on this forum jump on saying this is their year - I swear half this forum has bets on them), but they will win this by 4.
Trim vs Ashbourne
Very interesting battle this. Ashbourne are a weird team. They remind me of Crystal Palace under Roy Hodgson - they match whatever level they play against. Experience around the pitch is no issue.
Big Nando rolled back the years in their Rd2 win against Dunch. I thought he was brilliant, and I suspect if they want to win this, he'll have to be pulling strings alongside Mento and the big red monster in midfield.
To beat Trim, you have to stop Aaron Lynch. It's that simple. It will be interesting to see who will pick him up. Maybe they could bring back the pace of Quinn, or more experienced heads like Carton or Malia. From a trim point of view keeping stopping wing back Conor quigley from shooting on the arc could be the difference here ,interesting to see what measures they put in place to stop him

A real mouth watering clash this. A local derby that doesn't feel like one, kind of similar to Longford against Cavan.
Dunch looked like they were on their way out against Kells before Neil Byrne turned into prime Wayne Rooney, banging two goals in the space of 5 minutes. Neil was a high-level soccer player underage and you can really see it in how he moves!! Costellos has been decent enough the last two games. I think if he gets scoring, they have a very good chance.
Ratoath are moving well this year and will be eyeing up another Keegan title but i just have a feeling they will lose in a shoot out.

Ratoath vs Dunshaughlin is some tie. It's going to be tough for either side. I think Ratoath are a better well-rounded side, and Dunshaughlin are quite top heavy with some very shaky defenders and while Timmy O'Sullivan did save a penalty last day at, his kickout distribution isn't stellar - this combined with the fact Ratoath are very strong around the middle (Flynn seemingly hasn't played in ages though) with the McGowans etc, Dunshaughlin could struggle to win primary possession.
I'd love if I ate my words here though, and Dunshaughlin certainly have the quality to nick a surprise result. Ratoath look very well organised and well drilled. Dunshaughlin will need Costello to show up (a big if), alongside Charlie, Duke, Aaron Murphy, etc - if that happens the game will open up and become a shootout, and I think Dunshaughlin win a shootout.
Prediction: Ratoath by 2

Can't find the stats from the Kells game.So you just need to do what everyone else did, he's accurate if you give him space and from frees, but from play he's not been that impressive at all

Wasn't at trim ratoath game but presume Ben wrye marked Aaron lynch , Wrye one of the best man markers in club championship, if you have someone ordinary marking lynch, he runs the show, he might only score a few from play but he wins frees and brings other players into the game. think of all the senior teams him and conlon individually carry their team the most.
Dunshaughlin I agree haven't shown massive amounts but the talent they have makes it hard to know, if a few individuals turn it on they can mask over alot of issues with the rest of the team

Their defenders couldn't live with his work rate. He never stops making runs, it was evident for Meath in the league where he'd run the legs off defenders for 50 minutes then Banty would come on when they were shattered and get some easy scores. Its such shallow analysis to say ''from play he's not been that impressive at all''. I doubt you were at any of these games. He has 29 points in 3 games.

Its hard to see any meath man getting nominated for allstars, I agree banty was red hot at times. Id give jack flynn meath player of the year. I thought from the first day against derry his effort and intensity was just great ,hes a very dangerous midfielder. Even caused problems against a dominant westmeath and done okay while injured against cork in championship.
With coffey/kinsella gone for the year I think its less likely we are going to see much a of a reshuffle in the 2027 starting line up, id imagine caufield will come back into the halfback line with smyth and keoghan.
While jones, J oconnor, Lynch, Mcbride will rotate in and out of the forward line filling gaps as needed.
I would like to see adam oneill replace menton in the starting line up and menton be our utility cover with 20-25 mins to go.
I would like to see frayne wear 11.
It would be great if we could find a forward with a physical pressence that will play with his back to goal. At the moment we have a lot of men who like to play on the arc kinsella,costello, frayne, even morris, flynn, J oconnor, menton with only caufield ( quite effective in fairness), banty, lynch, mcbride ( token) being in the full forward line.
We are short a score or two from the half forward line, id wonder would duke get another chance he was going nicely in 2025. Although J O'connor has the most potential scores probably in the entire squad with the twos.

I would have liked to have seen Keogan moving back into the corner but with Coffey out he may have to stay in half back line. O'Halloran might get another shot at corner back. I'm a fan of O'Neill but he saw very little action this year so not sure he will get a starting spot. Think McBride will play midfield. Would expect JOC to start. Would be great to see Duke back in the mix and for Jamie Murphy to get more game time. Main thing is that we don't lose anyone else to long term injury as we don't have the depth to sustain losing 3/4 starters.

Agree with most of what you have outlined here but perhaps would like to experiment a little in league with the likes of Murphy, Liam Kelly, McIvor and perhaps more of Duke. I think leading into championship then team should be picked on form. Not sure Keoghan will be at centre back. It is a position that we are looking to fill and Charlie O'Connor perhaps is an option.
Jack Flynn had an excellant league alright and himself and Kinsella were nearly the only ones to shine along with Banty from the bench against Westmeath. Need him back fully fit and firing next year.
Costello hopefully will also be back to his best. His injury took the wind out of his sails form wise. Morris also needs to be firing. If all our main players are fit and a few tweaks here or there, we can have high hopes.
