Jones in midfield should give us the edge in that area but Louth's forward line is probably operating at a higher level than hours and they seem to be more economical with their chances (one of the main reasons they beat Kildare) so we'll definitely need to improve in that area if we're to win.

Replying To Sheridan2010louth:  "Jones in Midfield you say? Was he not doing his good work in the league from wing forward? Jack Flynn will be back for this game so will be him and Menton in midfield. Tommy Durnin is a big worry for me, he dominated menton/flynn in the league this year and Jones/mcbride last year. If we are serious about winning this game against a very good Louth team I think Jamie Murphy has to play some part."

It is noticeable that we have significantly strengthened half backline since league finished. I expect Flynn will probably start and perhaps Jones may be kept in reserve again to see out the game as unsure if Duke or Curtis would lose out from the start. Both impressed in championship so far. The bench is so crucial with each of the subs making telling contributions last day out. Agree Murphy should be already an option of bench but not sure how involved he has been with the group yet. Just read Colm O Rourke's article to day as i did last Sunday as usual. He was very definite last Sunday Meath had not a hope of beating Dublin. This Sunday its all about tougher days ahead against Louth. Colm would know from his teaching days copying is not allowed That was Robbie Brennan's response on the spot after the match .Then i must remember punditry is mainly about waffle anyway with no accountability.....Robbie's gig is all about accountability .Well done Robbie you delivered and you issued a warning to your players a lot of learning from the Dublin match and game by game on continuous improvement Your players played with belief and its clear your style is to encourage and support players .Its also clear whatever your doing keep doing it.
