Meath Clubs In Leinster

Replying To Roger:  "Ballingar who beat Dunsany yesterday were Offaly IFC winners. There are only eight clubs in the Offaly SFC, eight more in the SFC B (winner goes into the Leinster IFC) and then eight in the IFC.
You could well make the arguement that a similar setup in Meath would work well and let clubs who exist for the sole reason of claiming to be 'senior clubs' compete at their own level."
8 clubs would be ridiculously tight for Senior. It'd also ensure small clubs like Dunsany never get to play in Leinster again.

It works in Offaly because they've only 30 Football clubs in total, where'as we've close to twice that number in Meath.

Replying To hyperache:  "Caragh have proved to be a very good side, wining a competitive Leinster intermediate club championship.

Plus from all accounts I've heard, Meath Hill hadn't left the pub in 2 weeks, were carrying injuries and just narrowly lost out in the closing stages."
Should have got serious and left the pub so , poor mans excuse , won't survive in senior going on like that

Cant blame them for enjoying themselves. It was a massive achievement for them. Its getting over the first game in leinster(if you haven't won the championship in a long time/ever celebrations take over)then you become more focused. But agree was a great chance for them to win a leinster and pity they didn't.
