Would have to be Adam O'Neill for me. He showed he has many a good year to come in a Meath jersey and can be the first man on the team sheet for years to come.

Eoghan Frayne. Our only consistent forward all year, our top scorer from play in league and championship by a long way and he's doing it all off scraps and awful service coming into him.

Once the service in front of him improves he's someone who will be kicking 6 to 7 points a game. And let's not forget he's only 21 years old and has lots of improving still to do.

I think Matt Costello is the obvious choice! He had a decent league campaign and a good championship - regularly scoring despite being played further out the field than his number suggests! He does a lot of defensive work and has the skill to score off both sides! He is the only Meath player that gets regular positive mentions on Otb , the Gaelic hour and the gaa review and if there were a transfer system in Gaa he would be a target for one of the big teams!
Frayne would be my next choice and I thought he had a good year despite the meagre ball he was getting!

We conceded 12 goals in the championship, including 3 to Longford and 6 in the league so I just can't see a back get it!

Costello and frayne are 23 and 21 and now have experience- I expect big things of them - but I believe we need ball players in mid field - players who can win, secure and move the ball efficiently! Our best at this without question is Jack Flynn - hopefully he will be back for 2025!

Agreed Costello was our best play even for the fact that he could only perform in patches due to limited ball. Frayne maybe next. Adam O Neill wouldn't be up there on my list. Really bad positioning for Louth goal and we conceded way too many goals for a full back or corner back to be considered. Caulfied showed alot of potential but he needs to be in half backline. Really need Jack Flynn back. Physically robust player with ability to play. We don't have any of that type of player.

Yea our record for winning primary possession around the middle has been shocking all year, and our breaking ball equally bad. Alot of this was a lad getting up first and just not holding onto it, or catching and spilling immediately.

Our players need a massive jolt and shot in the arm to be way more aggressive with and without the ball. Far too passive on breaking ball and neither attacking or defending with any sort of intensity. Jones has aggression but didn't use in correct way this year. McGowan, McBride etc I don't think it is in them. Morris doesn't look to have that sort of streak in him either. Costello and Frayne are nice players but need strength around them. Jack Flynn a huge loss.
