I see John kavanagh not putting his name forward for a 5th year who is in line to succeed him,I think paddy kelly is vice chairman

Its between Damien Griffin and Jason Plunkett, Paddy Kelly not in the running.

Congrats to Jason Plunkett, best wishes over his term. Not to many changes in the line of personnel, suprised by how close the secretarys vote was.

Why would you be surprised with how close it was?

Appears to be a bit of a closed shop in terms of changes on the board.

Well I too was surprised, purely on the basis that the challenger has only just completed his first year as PRO and the current secretary had done five years in that position and had just one year done as secretary (and seems to have done a good job from what anyone can tell?)
No disrespect at all to any who challenges, but it felt a bit early to be running against someone with their first year under their belt.

So I'd have expected there to be a bigger margin of victory, but who knows what goes on behind the scenes in county boards or what cliques there are.

In fairness, very hard to change the makeup of the board if people don't put themselves forward.

Just given the fact C.F has only been in the position for one year is all.
