I grew up hearing from my father about the great Quinn brothers on old Meath teams. According to my father Martin was the toughest player ever to play for Meath and the supporters of the time loved the way he played. bdbuddah (Meath) - Posts: 1402 - 14/12/2021 11:39:54 2392794 Link 5 |
My Father in Law always talked about them! He worked in Clonee but lived for a year in Kilbride - said the 4 brothers were all very good players!

RIP Martin! I went to school in Kilbride and the Quinns and that team were (and still are) absolute legends. It just beggars belief that a team from a tiny village of probably less than 200 people could manage to become one of the best club teams in the country at that point (6 Kilbride players were on the Meath team that won the 1967 All Ireland).
