Electric Ireland Minor Team Of The Year (2020)

(Oldest Posts First)

Congratulations to Liam Kelly and Eoin Frayne on being named on the 2020 Minor Team of the year. Both lads have a great future ahead of them - Liam is the Captain of the 2021 Minor team while Eoin played for our 20's recently. Well done to both - fully deserved!

Congratulations to the two of them, Billy Hogan hard done by, could have easily been the keeper for the team of the year. The two guys join Matt Costello and Luke Mitchell who were 2018 all-stars and I'm sure if there was a team of the year done for the 2017 under 17's that Shane Walsh and Jordy Morris wouldn't have been too far off. Let's start to treat these players with the respect they deserve and give them every development tool possible because if we do that these guys are good enough to make big impact at senior level

Totally agree! The key to future success is the development of young players - county and clubs have a huge part to play in that!

Well done to everyone involved in those awards, clubs, mentors, the team and minor mgt.

Think we need to be steady with bringing these players along, try and not rush them into the senior team, hopefully let them play to U20 level and develop at their own pace, build up their S&C and then from 21 onward bring them into senior fold and flourish. From what I've seen Frayne looks like the kind of old style FF and well able to take his free's. If they can keep developing that with him he could be a huge addition.
