Navan O’Mahony’s 0-08
Trim 2-15
It was a disappointing end to the Senior B CC from an O’Mahony’s perspective, losing out to a strong and determined Trim side while never fully getting going.
The sides exchanged early scores with Trim scoring within twenty seconds. Izzy Kinsella and Lauren Donegan got O’Mahonys off the mark before Cara Ratty added a free to leave the sides level at 0-3 apiece. However, Trim soon found their rhythm, raising a green flag in the seventh minute to give a three-point advantage.
Trim continued to build on their lead with a series of points, taking control of proceedings and stretching the lead to nine points by the 24th minute. O’Mahony’s finished the first half with their best spell of the match. Ratty hit three frees to reduce the gap to six at the break.

Trim 1-09
Trim opened the second half with three unanswered points to extend their lead. Their workrate proved extremely effective at preventing O’Mahony’s getting in for scores and putting pressure on every play. Isabel O’Connor raised a white flag in the forty-second minute.
Trim added another point before striking for their second goal in the 50th minute, ensuring that any faint hope of an O’Mahony’s comeback looked even less likely. Trim added a point, with Ratty hitting the last score of the game deep into injury time.
O’Mahony’s were well served in defence by Alannah Brady in particular, who made plenty of deliverances out of the backs while Anna Gardiner, Tara Fay, Lauren Donegan and Amanda Feeney also fought hard.
