St Brigids 2-13 Carnaross 3-14

St Brigids took on Carnaross on Saturday evening in Moylagh in the first round of the Championship.

Fielding without a number of regulars we found the going tough and found ourselves just behind by at point at halftime 1-07 to Carnaross's 2-05 despite being six behind after fifteen minutes.

A fast start to the second period saw Carnaross move ahead by seven by the thirtyeighth minute before we got our first point of the half in fortieth. A goal followed from Carnaross and they pulled ten clear shortly after but Brigids stuck to the task and finished the game four behind following a few late scores.

A tough day at the office but Curraha await in Round two in two weeks time on Friday 21st at 7.30 in Kilmainham.
