Clann na nGael 2-12 The Saints 2-9

A five star from Daragh Wright proved crucial as Clann na nGael took home the Meath Minor Hurling League Division 3 title at the expense of holders The Saints at Kilmessan.

With Peter Hutcheson and Oisin Moran to the fore the Seasiders led at the break 1-5 to 0-6. Hutcheson opened their account with a brilliant point from a sideline cut. The corner forward added another two points while Moran got in a for great goal. Wright (3), Callan Shaw and a brace from Ciaran McDonagh accounted for the Clann na nGael opening half tally.

The second half was all about one Daragh Wright. The talented attacker gave his team a great start to with a goal. A brace from Wright had the teams level 1-8 each at the end of the 3rd quarter. Two minutes later Moran was in for his second goal and Clann na nGael looked in trouble. Wright had other ideas. Shaw reduced the gap to two before 1-3 from Wright before the full time whistle earned the title for Clann na nGael.

After the game Cathal Seoighe presented the cup to Christian Doherty.
