Half time Kilmainhamwood 2- 3 Wolfe Tones 3-3
The Wood dug deep to try and secure primary possession around midfield but found it hard to do so against a battle hardened Tones midfield, despite this Ciaran Doyle point and a Shane Townley free slightly reduced the deficit. The Tones who didn't score a point from play in the second half made good use of their frees with a 100% strike rate of frees. The Wood however wouldn’t lie down and added scores from Shane Townley, and Cillian Burns. The Tones kept working frees to keep their noses in front. Kilmainhamwood looked to have secured a draw when Darragh Smith broke down the wing and curled over a monster 2 pointer to level things up. From the resulting kick out Tones broke quickly down the field and were awarded a penalty for a tackle in the box. Tones converted this and a further point from Shane Townley ended the game handing Kilmainhamwood their first defeat of the league campaign.
