Baconstown defeated Ratoath in the Division 1/2 Hurling Shield Final
The Meath Cumann na mBunscol Hurling and Camogie finals take place this Thursday and Friday.
As always with this festival of hurling and camogie large crowds are expected to descend on Lomans Park Trim for the two days.
Thursday: Day 1 of the Meath Cumann na mBunscol took place today at a wet and blustery Lomans Park Trim. Boyerstown took home the first piece of silverware on offer. Carnaross and St. Seachnall’s N.S., Dunshaughlin created a little piece of history by winning their schools first hurling titles. History also for Whitecross when they claimed their first camogie crown. Baconstown had to withstand a Ratoath fightback to win the Division 1/2 Hurling Shield Final title
Kildalkey and Kilmessan meet to decide the destination of the Division 1 hurling title. St. Joseph’s claimed their first ever Division 1 title last year defeating Friday’s opposition in the final. It’s a big day for both schools. Kilmessan also take on holders St. Mary’s N.S., Trim in the Division 1 camogie final while Kildalkey meet Boardsmill in a repeat of last years final, to decide the destination of the Division 2 camogie title.
