Meath minor football manager Trevor Giles has named the same squad that defeated Dublin in the provincial semi-final for the Leinster MFC final showdown against Kildare. 

The fifteen who started in Parnell Park 10-days ago will take to the field in O’Moore Park. Once again John Killoran is expected to start at centre back despite wearing the number 8 jersey, with Cormac McKenna joining Tomás Proudfoot in midfield and captain Harry McGuirk pushing into attack

These two met in the second round of the group stages and the Lilywhites secured a five point win at Skryne.

Since losing the two opening rounds of the group the young Royals have found a rich vein of form with impressive displays against Laois, Wicklow, Offaly and Dublin. 

Meath’s path to the final: 

Round 1: Meath 2-7 Louth 0-14

Round 2: Meath 1-11 Kildare 1-16

Round 3: Meath 6-22 Laois 0-7

Preliminary quarter final: Meath 6-23 Wicklow 0-5

Quarter final: Meath 5-16 Offaly 0-9

Semi final: Meath 2-14 Dublin 2-8
