HS Meath Awards: Senior Club Hurler of the Year

December 27, 2025

The Jubilee Cup is back in Ratoath for the second year running

After surviving a scare in the drawn final, Ratoath came good to claim the Jubilee Cup for the second year in a row with a 2-22 to 4-10 replay win over Kiltale at Pairc Tailteann.

A Fearghal McCabe goal in injury time looked to have given Kiltale victory in one of the best finals seen at the Navan venue but a Podge O'Hanrahan point levelled matters before Mark O’Reilly’s full-time whistle and the teams would have to go again the following Sunday.

There were plenty of standout performers during the championship campaign. Colm O’Riordan, Conor McGill, Darragh Kelly, the McGowan’s Jack, Gavin and Daithi, O’Hanrahan and Bryan McMahon had a great season in the Blue and Gold.

Shane McGann, Conor McNally, Fearghal McCabe, Adam Murphy, James Kelly, Ross Ryan and Jack Regan were outstanding for the beaten finalists.

Ben Holden, James Toher, Davy Murtagh, George Douglas and Mikey Cole stood out in the Trim jersey. Kilmessan’s star continues to rise and with players like Harry Cahill, Kyle Donnelly, Lorcan O’Connor, Darragh Horan, Kris Gorman and Seanie Doyle at their disposal a Jubilee Cup is on the horizon.

Stalwart Keith Keogan and Justin Coyne starred on their way to taking home the Kit Mitchel Cup. Brin Kelly and Paddy Conneely stood out for Kildalkey.

The team at HS Meath have gone for Cian Rogers as our Senior Club Hurler of the Year. One of the most skilful hurlers we have seen in many years on the local circuit. The Ratoath dual star is always a threat in possession and his eye for a goal proved crucial as Andrew Dermody’s men put Jubilee cup titles back-to-back. Well done Cian.
