The Jubilee Cup is heading back to Ratoath

And just like that the Meath Hurling Championship has come to a conclusion. What started out in mid July ended with two replays in the Senior and Senior B finals last Saturday.

The shrewd observer had holders Ratoath favourites to retain the Jubilee Cup and they didn’t disappoint. The nearest they came to losing a game all season was in that thrilling draw with Kiltale. Kiltale improved with every game since losing the opening round to their final day opposition. The former 5 in a row winners will be one to watch next year.

Killyon started their season with silverware in the Davis Cup and finished out a very good year by bringing home the Kit Mitchell Cup after their Senior B replay win over Longwood.

Kilskyre/Moylagh justified their favourites tag when claiming the Intermediate title in fine style. Despite going a man down after 25 minutes they had too much for Rathmolyon and the the Mick Leonard Cup was heading north. Kildalkey finished the championship season with silverware in the Intermediate B.

Kiltale were too strong for Dunboyne in the Junior final while Na Fianna picked up the Junior B title.
