After defeats in the MHT and MHL Division 1 finals Kilmessan finished the season with silverware after this win over Na Fianna in the Minor Hurling Shield Division 1 final played in Kilmessan.
The home side held a 0-11 to 1-5 lead at the break.
After the game John Brennan presented the MHC Division 1 Shield to Will Byrne.
