Clonard GFC were delighted to host an event last Sunday to honour the Clonard Junior B Championship winning team of 1971 on the 50th Anniversary of their victory over Dunboyne. (The original event was postponed due to the COVID Pandemic).
We also took this opportunity to celebrate the 130th Anniversary of the founding of Clonard GAA in 1895 which we marked with a special edition Commemorative Jersey designed by our members and available for a limited period.
We had a fantastic evening of speeches and banter with the Presentation of 50th. Anniversary Medals to the surviving members of the team and to the families of those sadly passed.
Old acquaintances rekindled, those who have passed remembered and new friendships forged. The bonds that bind our Club strengthened. Our thanks to all who contributed to a wonderful evening.
