September 08, 2025

Kildalkey's Stephen Murray

O'Mahony's 1-20 Kildalkey 1-11

Kildalkey’s juniors lost out to a strong O Mahonys outfit in Saturdays JHC relegation playoff in Paddy O Brien Park which now leaves them playing neighbours Clann na Gael to see who stays up and who gets relegated to Junior B for 2026.

Kildalkey trailed by 4 at the break 1-7 to 1-11 after playing with the wind. Francy Doran scored 1-2, Stephen Murray with 2 points and 1 each from Adam O'Brien, Evan Geoeghan and Ciaran Browne.

Kildalkey matched O'Mahonys and fought hard for much of the second half and still only trailed by 4 points with 10 minutes to go despite playing against the breeze with further points from Geoeghan, Enda Fitzgerald Robbie Johnston and Ciaran Browne

But O Mahonys finished strongest and pushed on to over powering Kildalkey finishing up 1-20 to 1-11 winners

Conal Diggins, Enda Fitzgerald, Enda Keogh, Mark Hand and Liam Carroll played really well in defence to keep out O'Mahonys the best they could but the Navan men were stronger on the day
