Div 4 HL: Village on top in high scoring encounter

Kildalkey 4-16 Ratoath 3-13

Easter Sunday morning saw Ratoath come to Kildalkey for Round 2 of the Division 4 HL.

After a good performance but ultimately a narrow loss to Dunboyne in Round 1 Kildalkey gained their first points after a 4-16 to 3-13 win over their opponents Ratoath.

Having led at the break by 3-7 to 1-2 Ratoath hit 2-11 in the second half but the home side hung on with solid performances by Paul Fagan, Enda Fitzgerald, Conal Diggins, Edward Dunne and Arron Traynor in defence Ciaran Browne in midfield and James Cully (who hit 2-2), Ross Flynn (who got 1-1 ) in the forwards in a good team performance that included 9 of last years minor team. 11 different players scored for the home side including 5 of those minors who mixed in with a few more experienced players.
