Dunganny - Meath GAA Centre of Excellence

Regarding fundraising opportunities secretary Ciaran Flynn in his annual report said Meath GAA were excited to announce a unique sponsorship opportunity – the naming rights for the Dunganny Centre of Excellence. Expressions of interest would be welcomed from businesses keen to align their brand with the future of Gaelic games in the county.

“Fundraising remains a vital pillar of Meath GAA, enabling us to sustain and grow our operations, support our teams, and develop key facilities like Dunganny. In 2024, the dedication of our committees and members has driven significant progress, ensuring the financial strength of our organisation.

“A key highlight this year is the achievement of securing sponsorship for nearly all competitions, a testament to the commitment of Jason Plunkett, our county chairperson, in forging these invaluable partnerships. This effort has provided much-needed financial support for competitions across the county.

“Our flagship fundraising events, the Golf Classic and Race Day, continue to be resounding successes. These events have not only generated critical revenue but also strengthened community ties and engagement.

“A special thanks to Conor Tormey and Tony McEntee, whose leadership and dedication have ensured the enduring success of the Race Day.

“The Finance Sub-Committee has launched an exciting new initiative to grow Cairde na Mí, targeting business leaders and supporters who wish to contribute to the funding of our county teams and further developments at Dunganny.

“This strategic move aims to harness additional expertise and financial support, ensuring the continued growth and success of Meath GAA. Thank you to Gene Smith for being the treasurer in 2024.

“As we celebrate these achievements, we must continue to explore new opportunities and innovative ideas to expand our fundraising efforts. The future offers immense potential, and with the collective efforts of our committees and supporters, we are confident in securing sustainable growth for Meath GAA.”
