Dunsany celebrate with the Peter McDermott Cup at Pairc Tailteann

11 teams in three groups went to the post for the 2024 Meath Junior Football Championship. St. Vincents were the top tip for outright honours followed closely by Clann na nGael, Dunderry and Ballinlough but in the end it was Dunsany who made home with the Peter McDermott Cup. After losing nine finals since 1972 the Kevin Cahill managed outfit got their hands on the Meath Junior Football Championship title. They also enjoyed a good run in Leinster bowing out to a strong Ballinagar outfit in the Provincial final.

Last years Junior B winners Slane made it to the semi finals by topping their group. Clann na nGael, Ballinlough and St. Ultans made it to the semi final.

In a repeat of the 2021 final, won by the Ardcath men, Dunsany inspired by Eoin Harkin came out on top by the minimum at a stormy Páirc Tailteann.

A special thanks to the club PRO's for suppling us with match reports throughout the year.
