After losing finals in the last two years Ashbourne Educate Together National School claimed their first ever Allianz Meath Cumann na mBunscol title with this comfortable win over Scoil Naomh Eoin Navan in the Division 2/3 Boys Shield final at Lomans Park Trim. PHOTOS

The opening half was a very even affair. Naomh Eoin were first on the scoreboard through Brooklyn Gavin. Kevin Roca kicked Ashbourne’s first point before Gavin and Kayden Dempsey extended the Navan school’s advantage. Ashbourne finished the half in style with an Eoghan Quail brace and one from Alex Krumins to take a 0-4 to 0-3 interval lead. The Educate Together boys had the game in the bag in the opening ten minutes of the second half. Two goals from the impressive Krumins and another point from Quailll opened up an eight point gap and Ashbourne were well on their way to their first ever title.
