FL Div 5: Moynalty bounce back

After losing out to Slane last Saturday Moynalty quickly hit the ground running against Kilmainhamwood, hitting 1-02 in a quick opening 5 minutes in the FL Division 5 fixtures at Moynalty. Kian Lynch scoring the goal, after instinctively catching the ball infront of goal and blasting past the Kilmainhamwood goalkeeper. Cormac Kearney added a fine goal from an acute angle on the 20 minute mark to put Moynalty 2-05 to 0-01 up, and firmly on the driving seat. Ollie Sheridan impressed throughout the first half kicking 3 points himself. Half time score Moynalty 2-08 Kilmainhamwood 0-03.

The second half saw 7 different Moynalty players getting on the scoresheet, with the pick of the scores a long range effort from Anto Nevin. Paddy Gallagher was the pick of the defenders on the night, making his first start of the year he found himself up and down the pitch and set up plenty of attacks in the final third as well as keeping the Kilmainhamwood defenders quiet on the night. The win sees Moynalty go 1 win from 2 in the league, as they move towards the Tailteann Shield Final next Wednesday against Cortown.
