Wembley calling for former Na Fianna star

Coventry City and former Na Fianna star Luke McNally

Gaels from around the county will be tuned into one game in particular this Saturday.

While a lot of attention will be focused on Croke Park, Pairc Tailteann, The Athletic Grounds and Celtic Park there will be an added interest in one game in particular up around Baconstown and Enfield.

Former Na Fianna star Luke McNally will line out for Coventry City when they take on Luton in the Championship promotion Play-off final at Wembley Stadium.

McNally has been outstanding at centre half as the Sky Blues paved their way to a chance to join the elite in the English Premiership.

A hugely promising Meath underage club footballer, McNally joined English League One side Oxford United from St Patrick's Athletic in 2021.

The Enfield native is currently on loan from Burnley.

The 23-year-old central defender was a member of the same Na Fianna teams as Meath stars Shane Walsh and Ethan Devine from U8's all the way up to minor. In 2017, McNally starred in attack as the Enfield-Baconstown-Rathmolyon combination qualified for the MFC Division 1 final which was played as a curtain-raiser to the SFC decider.

Kick off at the sold out London venue is at 4.45.
