Dunboyne 4-15  Navan O’Mahony’s 2-6

Navan O Mahony’s lost out to Dunboyne in their first outing of the Senior B Championship in a tough first match.

The young home team got off to a reasonably good start but the more experienced Dunboyne side had the edge.  Dunboyne opened the tab with a point from play which was followed by 3 from the home side, one each from play by Tara Fay and Isabel O Conor and a well pointed free from Roisin Tobin 

Dunboyne responded with a goal and 5 unanswered points before Isabel O Conor blasted to the net just before half time leaving it 1.6 to 1.3 at the break 

Dunboyne came out the stronger in the second half scoring 2 points from play followed by a goal and 2 points from frees before Tobin pointed again from a free. While Dunboyne continued to dominate Navan O’Mahony’s added 2 more points from play, one from Izzy Kinsella and one from Jorja Keogh. 

 Dunboyne continued to add to their tally while Navan O’Mahony’s had a few missed opportunities. A great run from O Connor saw her find the net for the second time. Dunboyne added another goal from a free and a point from play before the full time whistle
