Navan O'Mahonys 3-11 Kildalkey 1-4 

A convincing win against Kildalkey ensures that our Ladies Senior Camogie team will remain in the Senior division in 2022. 

This must win relegation play off was held in Baconstown on 28th November.

Navan O Mahonys opened the scoring with a well taken point from Ailbhe Leahy. Kildalkey responded with a point before Katie Byrne replied. O Mahonys dominated the possession and just before the first water break Ailbhe Leahy split the posts again leaving it 0.1 to 0.3 in our favour.

Mia McNally opened the scoring on the restart with a point, followed by another from Ailbhe Leahy who was really on form despite being on the back of a tough game of football in the Leinster quarter final the previous day. Kildalkey took advantage of a quick free to drive forward and score a goal which they followed up closely with a point bringing it to a draw game 1.2 to 0.5.  O Mahonys drove forward again and after being denied a few opportunities Mc Nally found the net twice in succession before the half time break leaving the score at 2.5 to 1.2 

The third quarter was very much dominated by O Mahony's with Aoibheann Leahy (also a dual player and on the back of the tough game the previous day) putting in a stellar performance and scoring 3 points in succession. A well taken free by Lizzie Brennan added another point, Brennan had a super game and was instrumental in setting up many of the scores. The fifth point of this quarter came from Aoibhin McKenny (another dual player from the previous day) stretching the lead going into the last fifteen to 2.10 to 1.2 .

 At the start of  the last quarter Kildalkey chalked up a brace of points from frees before a great ball in to the forwards set Mc Kenny up for a goal . Aoibheann Leahy closed the tab with another point leaving the final score at 3.11 to 1.4 

This was a superb performance from the team overall
