Ray Dempsey is back in charge of the Knockmore senior footballers for 2025.
During his previous tenure between 2018 and ‘22, the former Mayo star guided his native club to back-to-back Mayo SFC titles in 2020 and ’21. He had a brief spell in charge of Limerick after that before returning to club management and leading Easkey to a Sligo IFC success last year.
Dempsey, who was one of three other candidates who lost out to Kevin McStay for the Mayo senior manager’s post in 2022, retakes the Knockmore reins from Aidan Kilcoyne and John Brogan, who recently stepped down as joint-managers.
The duo spent two years at the helm, only missing out on Moclair Cup glory this year after losing the SFC final to Ballina Stephenites.
