Mickey Harte says Louth can't afford to rest on the laurels after reaching their first Leinster SFC final since 2010.

The three-time Tyrone All-Ireland winning manager stressed the need for the Wee County to be competitive in the provincial decider against Dublin - otherwise much of the hard work done over the last three years could be undone.

“We as a team can’t celebrate it because there is nothing to celebrate," he told the assembled media after yesterday's extra-time victory over Offaly.

"We have to perform well in the Leinster final because if not, that would actually deflate the work we have put in. We have to really work hard to be competitive. That’s our target for the next two weeks”.

The Louth boss added: “We felt that when we came into the county three seasons ago this is what we wanted to do.

“We wanted to change the culture of not being able to do the things that you felt you had quality enough players to do. You have to win championship games to prove that.”
